I started writing a bit on chapter two and realized the style was completely different from chapter one. Smoother, for one, but not as serious. I'm not meant to be a serious writer. That doesn't mean I wouldn't very much like to be a professional one... more along the lines of Adams, Pratchett, or Moore, though, rather than Tolkien or Gaiman.
Eh, I know my strengths and it lies in not being very serious about most things.
So I've redone (mostly, almost done) chapter one again and am very happy about it. I'm already sending both versions to a friend for him to look at. If anyone else wants to compare styles, leave a comment.
